Executive Director: Nicolette Lahman

SWSRA and the Board of Directors extend a warm welcome to Nicolette Lahman as the new Executive Director for SWSRA. 

Nicolette most recently worked as the Executive Director for Covenant Ability Network of Illinois and has held previous leadership positions at Clearbrook. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Deafness Rehabilitation from Northern Illinois University.  We are excited and proud to introduce Nicolette to our communities.

Business Manager: Dawn Kehoe

Dawn has worked at SWSRA since August 2013.  Dawn’s prior work experience at Hannah Marine Corporation, Fifth Third Bank and Saint Xavier University were positions with job duties ranging from  Payroll, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Government reporting, Secretary and Teller Supervisor.

Dawn is married to her husband John since May, 1981.  Together they have raised 1 daughter Kristin and 2 sons Rick and Brad.  They are now blessed with their extended Family of Alfonso, Theresa, and Kailey as well and “Pomp” and “Nana” to Enzo, Ella, Olive, Blakely, and Avery.

Recreation Supervisor: Marina Uher, CTRS

Marina has worked at SWSRA since October 2017 as Recreation Specialist for Athletics while attending the University of St. Francis and completed her internship at SWSRA. She recently graduated and obtained her degree in Recreation and Sports Management with a concentration in Recreation Therapy. Upon graduation, she became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). She joined our team in a full-time capacity as Recreation Supervisor on September 9, 2019. 

Marina enjoys playing in volleyball leagues during the year.

Recreation Supervisor: Brittany Izzo

Brittany started off at SWSRA as an intern in early 2018. Through her work, she was able to continue her work at SWSRA as a part-time Recreation Specialist. Once Brittany graduated from the University of Saint Francis in fall of 2020, she was hired on full time as a Recreational Specialist in January 2021. 

 

Brittany likes to go hiking when she can, and relax to a good book at night. She loves being around her family and her fur babies.

PR/Marketing - Outreach Coordinator: Paula Marr

Paula has been involved in recreation nearly all of her life and is currently a Commissioner/Board President for the Worth Park District. She started with SWSRA in 2012 as a Special Olympics coach and was involved in many SWSRA programs as an aide. Her outgoing style of leadership has been an asset to our organization. As a graduate of Second City Improv and an AAFA certified fitness instructor, she brings a versatile approach to our Public Relations and Outreach efforts and is enthusiastic and supportive as our Outreach Coordinator.

Paula is also a musician and plays bass with several bands locally. She is a dog lover and is sometimes referred to as “the dog whisperer:” Paula has been a legal guardian to her 1 niece and 2 nephews since 2005 and is very active in their lives.

Office Clerk: Patti Swiney

Patti started working part-time at SWSRA as an office assistant in September 2018. She has worked for Worth Park District and Palos Christian Preschool as a Preschool Aide.  Patti and her husband Chuck reside in Worth, Illinois with their two children.  In her free time, Patti likes spending time with family and friends and loves to watch her kids play sports.

Maintenance & Vehicle Coordinator: John Bedore

John Bedore has been SWSRA’s Vehicle Coordinator for many years. He maintains the fleet, does regular checks, and makes sure they are running safely and properly.
