SWSRA Administrative Team
Executive Director: Lori Chesna, CPRP
Lori Chesna started working at SWSRA in 1998. Looking back over the years, Lori says “things have come a long way.” She led the agency through three strategic plans; expanded the full-time staff by adding a PR & Marketing Coordinator; added two part-time office staff, expanded office space when the Worth Park District joined the membership. The best part of the job is knowing that we provide “FUN!” Our TEAM gives 100% and truly cares about our participants. We look at every single person as an individual and work towards their personal goals. We up countless hours in planning, training and making SWSRA a FUN, SAFE environment. Lori is most proud of the fact that SWSRA is accredited with Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA). “Our TEAM takes great pride in our agency!”
Lori is a resident of Oak Lawn and married to her husband Bob. They have three children and four grandchildren. Lori loves spending time with her family and friends.
Business Manager: Dawn Kehoe
Dawn started her career with SWSRA in August of last year after working twelve years at Saint Xavier University. During her years of service at the University, she was the Office Manager for the Chemistry Department, the Veteran’s Coordinator and Recorder for the Office of Records and Advising, and Secretary and Assistant to the Director of Teacher Certification. Her working career started as Payroll Clerk for Hannah Marine Corporation in Lemont and later was Teller Supervisor for Fifth Third Bank Business Center in Oak Lawn.
Dawn is married to her husband John for 34 years. She has three children and two grandchildren. Her passion is her family and loves being a Nana! Working for SWSRA feels like “the right place to be”. She enjoyed her first event with the participants, which was the Sports Banquet, and felt it was so touching seeing their smiles and excitement as they were recognized for their accomplishments.
Superintendent of Recreation: Susan Prieboy, CTRS
Susan started her love of SRA's at a very young age where she began volunteering at one at the age of 9. Susan volunteered and continued on to work there until she left for college. She graduated from the University of Iowa where she majored in Therapeutic Recreation. She worked for two years at another SRA as their Inclusion Specialist before coming to SWSRA in 2015.
Susan continues to be an Iowa Hawkeye football season ticket holder. She enjoys going to sporting events, traveling, kayaking and spending time with family and friends.
Recreation Supervisor: Marina Uher, CTRS
Marina has worked at SWSRA since October 2017 as Recreation Specialist for Athletics while attending the University of St. Francis and completed her internship at SWSRA. She recently graduated and obtained her degree in Recreation and Sports Management with a concentration in Recreation Therapy. Upon graduation, she became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). She joined our team in a full-time capacity as Recreation Supervisor on September 9, 2019.
Marina enjoys playing in volleyball leagues during the year.
Brittany started off at SWSRA as an intern in early 2018. Through her work, she was able to continue her work at SWSRA as a part-time Recreation Specialist. She has had much experience working in SRA’s since she worked there at one time. She has found a true passion in this field. She will be continuing her education at the University of St. Francis.
Brittany likes to go hiking when she can, and relax to a good book at night. She loves being around her family and her fur babies.
PR/Marketing - Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator: Paula Marr
Paula has been involved in recreation nearly all of her life and is currently a Commissioner/Board President for the Worth Park District. She started with SWSRA in 2012 as a Special Olympics coach and was involved in many SWSRA programs as an aide. Her outgoing style of leadership has been an asset to our organization. As a graduate of Second City Improv and an AAFA certified fitness instructor, she brings a versatile approach to our Public Relations and Outreach efforts and is enthusiastic and supportive as our Volunteer Coordinator.
Paula is also a musician and plays bass with several bands locally. She is a dog lover and is sometimes referred to as “the dog whisperer:” Paula has been a legal guardian to her 1 niece and 2 nephews since 2005 and is very active in their lives.
Office Clerk: Patti Swiney
Patti started working part-time at SWSRA as an office assistant in September 2018. She has worked for Worth Park District as a Palos Christian Preschool as a Preschool Aide. Patti and her husband Chuck reside in Worth, Illinois with their two children. In her free time, Patti likes spending time with family and friends and loves to watch her kids play sports.
Maintenance & Vehicle Coordinator: John Bedore
John Bedore has been SWSRA’s Vehicle Coordinator for many years. He maintains the fleet, does regular checks, and makes sure they are running safely and properly.
